September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, and for 2020 we are teaming up with Leukaemia Care with our first ever Bridges of Britain walk!
Our first Bridges of London walk back in 2019 was an amazing day... 300 walkers raised over £40,000! And this year we're aiming to make it bigger and better than ever, so that everyone can take part and do their bit to raise money and awareness to support people affected by lymphoma.
It doesn't matter where you live in the UK - all you need to do is find a bridge in your local area, plan and walk your own 7 mile route on the weekend of Sunday 27 September, and ask your friends and family to sponsor you to take part.
Each route should include at least one bridge, but how many can you fit into your walk? There will be a prize for the person who can walk over the most bridges in 7 miles!
Every 27 minutes, one of us is diagnosed with lymphoma, and to highlight this to help raise awareness we are encouraging everyone to walk on Sunday 27. But if you would prefer to take part on a different date, or if you would like to split your walk over multiple days, then you can.
