wim-BOW-don Tennis Challenge

for Animals in Distress

29th June 2020 will mark what would have been the start of the iconic two week Wimbledon Tournament.

With Wimbledon being cancelled this year little Bow, our cute Collie resident thought she would celebrate the prestigious game with her friends at the centre from and inspire you to ignite the Wimbledon spirit at home too by bringing you her very own tennis challenge wim-BOW-don!

Bow says have some fun, get active, build a bit of healthy competition between friends and family,  eat lots of strawberries and cream and support her and all her friends at the centre too.

All that Bow asks is that you raise just £60, as this will provide a whole week of care for her or one of her friends.

There are lots of ways you can get involved

  • Create a mini Wimbledon in your garden with household objects
  • Play a virtual tennis tournament on the Wii with your family
  • Organise a socially distanced tennis tournament at your local park
  • Complete a swingball rally and challenge yourself to hit as many as you can in a row

Have a look at #WimbledonRecreated for inspiration of ways to get creative with your at home wim-BOW-don challenge. From creating a mini tennis court to using household items as a tennis racket, anything is possible!

You can get creative with your fundraising too

  • set forfeits for your tennis challenge and get the loser to pay up
  • Set yourself some tennis drills and put some pennies in the pot every time you hit the ball…or miss it!
  • Ask your family and friends to sponsor you to complete a Bow-athon where you play a game of tennis for 4, 8 or even 24 hours straight

Complete your tennis challenge anytime between 29th June – 12th July 2020
